Have you received an IRS letter or notice?

Taxes have been filed and now people are receiving IRS letters and notices.  IRS letters are sent out for a number of reasons but it does not meant that you need to panic.  Many of these letters and notices can be dealt with simply without having to call or visit an IRS office.  The notice will be specific about your tax return.  It could be that the IRS believes you owe additional tax, are due a larger refund or there is a question about your tax return or a need for additional information.
